FAQs

Helpful Information for Guest Bloggers

Thank you for considering our writing opportunity! We are looking for moms who want to contribute to the content that will be posted on BoyMom.com. Our desire for this blog is to contain content from many different moms, because we love that everyone does mom-ing differently. We want our website to host lots of beautiful perspectives!

If you have any questions that are not covered on this page, please use the Contact Us form and we will answer you soon!

What is a Guest Blogger and How Does This Work?

We are currently paying $25 per blog of 1000-1500 words, on a topic of your choice (but must be related to momlife, parenting how-to's advice, recipes, hosting family events, etc.) We want it to be a topic that you're passionate about and that you feel confident writing about/sharing your experience. Content must be 100% original content that has not been previously posted anywhere on the internet. We will verify for originality and any users found plagiarizing will not be allowed to submit future blogs. Your name will be posted on your blog, so the writing credit goes to you! The $25 will be paid after the blog has been proofread and posted.

How Do I Sign Up to Be a Guest Blogger?

Joining our tribe of bloggers is easy! Just send in your first submission! We will then send back a "permission slip" outlining the rules of posting with us and allowing us to use your content on our site. You will need to sign this and send it back to us before we will post your content on our website.

Where Do I Send My Submissions?

Please contact us using our Contact Us page letting us know that you’d like to be a Guest Blogger! We’ll reach out to you with specific instructions on where to send your content.

Is the Word Count Flexible?

The average medium length blog post is 1500 words. It's truly not the word count that we're focused on; it's the value of the content provided. If you can provide valuable content that will help other moms or a story that provides ample entertainment, or a recipe that yields a successful dish, etc., then that's what we're looking for. Once we receive your submission, we will proofread and edit or make recommendations if necessary. We would rather have too much content and edit some out rather than not enough content.

If I Don’t Live in the United States, Can I Still Join?

Absolutely! We love all perspectives! At this time, we can only accept blogs in English though (hopefully, we'll be able to expand on that soon!)
